Landlord Robert Lister found fame in the racing world when he discovered
“Iris’s Gift” in “a field” as Rob put it. The Horse made his racecourse debut in August 2001 when he won a National Hunt Flat Race at Worcester. He went on to earn the official status 'best hurdler in the country' and became a rare phenomenon by becoming one of the few horses to win at Cheltenham and Aintree in the same year. For more info.
